Daft Punk Grooves Hit Beat Saber with Haptics Update

Meta’s Beat Games studio has answered the calls of Beat Saber fans worldwide with the release of a highly anticipated Daft Punk Music Pack, accompanied by a significant upgrade to the game’s haptic feedback experience.

Daft Punk’s Beats Arrive in Beat Saber

The Daft Punk Music Pack brings 10 iconic tracks from the legendary electronic music duo to the popular VR rhythm game. Players can now immerse themselves in the pulsating beats of hits like “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” “Get Lucky,” and more, slicing through the kaleidoscopic Beat Saber world to the thumping rhythms of Daft Punk’s trailblazing sound.

Immerse Yourself in Iconic Tracks

While fans can purchase the entire Daft Punk pack for $13, individual tracks are also available for $2 each, catering to dedicated collectors and those seeking specific songs. However, it’s worth noting that the pack does not include tracks from Daft Punk’s critically acclaimed Tron: Legacy score due to licensing restrictions.

Enhanced Haptics Elevate Gameplay

Alongside the new music pack, Meta has also rolled out a significant upgrade to Beat Saber’s haptic feedback capabilities, further enhancing the game’s immersive experience. The Quest 3 and Quest Pro headsets now feature advanced haptics, providing more lifelike and textured sensations as players swing their Beat Saber blades through the virtual environment.

Moreover, Quest 2 users will also benefit from improvements to the haptic feedback system, ensuring that the entire Quest ecosystem can enjoy a more tactile and realistic Beat Saber experience.

Meta’s Commitment to Immersive Experiences

This haptics upgrade aligns with Meta’s broader efforts to push the boundaries of immersive technology. Last year, the company released Haptics Studio and Haptics SDK for Unity, empowering developers to create rich, responsive, and lifelike haptic sensations in their virtual and augmented reality applications.

With the Daft Punk Music Pack and haptics upgrade, Beat Saber continues to solidify its position as one of the most beloved and innovative VR gaming experiences. As virtual reality technology advances, Meta’s commitment to delivering engaging and immersive content remains steadfast, ensuring that fans can look forward to even more groundbreaking experiences in the future.
